Frequently Asked Questions
Will Alan Jackson perform at Fairview Beach? He is on the Aquapalooza Web Site. No, he will be playing at the “Signature Event” this year which is being held at Lake Martin in Alabama. To shed a little light on that, Sea Ray, which is the corporate sponsor/promoter, travels to a different Sea Ray dealer each year to host the “Signature Event”. We were very fortunate to have been selected as the dealer for that event two years ago with Taylor Swift. This year it is all Prince William Marine. We have worked hard to get a great lineup of bands and performers for the day and hope everyone will enjoy it just as much as years past.
Who is performing? We are excited to have country recording artist Daryle Singletary headlining the event this year. Also performing will be the Key West Band, the Wild Bunch, Borrowed Time Band, Drivin' South Band, and the Darby Brothers.
Are my t-shirts here yet? For those that will be getting the free t-shirts (while available), they are not here yet and most likely will not show until the week of the show. I wish I could get them here sooner but it is out of my control as those are supplied by corporate Sea Ray and are only guaranteed to arrive prior to the event. I will send an email to those that will be getting them once they arrive.
Where do I pick up the shirts? If you are close to our marina, I would prefer that you pick them up prior to the event here at the dealership in Woodbridge. If you are too far away, you will be able to pick them up at the event on land, under a registration tent the day of the event.
T-shirt Note! The two free t-shirts being sent by Sea Ray are being provided based on registrations. Anyone that signed up more than once, under two names same address or email, etc; those are bouncing as duplicates so please be understanding when there is only one set of shirts for pickup. We understand that everyone wants a t-shirt but it is just not possible with the amount of people. We will be shooting out t-shirts throughout the day from the stage and prize patrol boats also.
Is food being provided? No, Tim’s II restaurant will be open for business as usual with food service all day. Prince William Marine will be providing Aquapalooza Punch (non-alcoholic) to everyone, but it can be improved upon for a nominal fee.
Where can I get a hotel? See above for for information on local hotels. Where can I launch my boat if I am trailering? Again, visit the web site for links to trailer ramp info. NOTE: If you are trailering from a local ramp such as Leesylvania State Park or others, be sure to contact them to make sure they will allow late night returns if you are staying for the fireworks.
Where is the best place to anchor my boat? Just about anywhere near Tim’s II. We will have the barge set up like last year with the bands playing next to Tim’s II and it will be plenty loud for all to hear. If you are looking towards Tim’s II from the water, the fireworks display will take place back over your left shoulder out away from Tim’s II. The area will be marked off with ropes and buoys. Please keep a safe distance from that area. Thanks!
I am coming by land, will there be parking? Yes there is parking at Tim’s II, there will be people directing you to parking areas, please be patient.
How can we get to the restaurant and ashore from the water? There will be shuttle boats running all day back and forth to Tim’s II. If you need a ride, wave one down. Please be patient, as they can load only so many persons per boat. Of course, if you have a small dinghy, that would be a great alternative.
Rafting up? The Fire and Rescue Service and the local authorities have requested that if you are planning on rafting up several boats, please keep it to a small amount. They will be patrolling the water and need to be able to get around easily thru the boats should the need arise. We want everyone to have a safe day. NOTE: Please be sure if you leave your boat at any time that your anchor is secure. Please keep an eye on yourself and your neighbors.
